Abubakr’s program should include continued, consistent Speech Therapy and Occupational Therapy. In addition, a Psychological Evaluation may be helpful in order to understand his broader strengths and needs. 1. Speech Therapy

   Our Speech Therapists are licensed and certified, and have extensive experience working in home, school, and online settings.

2. Occupational Therapy

Our Occupational Therapists engage children online in creative and engaging ways. Kids play games, engage in fun activities, and learn functional skills, sometimes without even knowing they’re learning!

3. Psychological Evaluations

Sometimes families and schools have questions about the best way forward to serve a child’s needs. Often there are questions about what areas to focus on, and what a child’s broader needs are, and a Psychological Assessment is often a very helpful place to start. Our Psychologists are skilled in clinical evaluations of a child’s needs, even from afar. IDS clinicians utilized standardized assessments which have now been validated for online use. Psychologists work with a child’s family and school team through detailed clinical interviews, lead a child through age-appropriate testing and activities designed to understand areas of need, and analyze standardized questionnaires from team members as needed. At the end of this process, team members receive a detailed report outlining a child’s strengths, areas of need, and robust recommendations for educational and therapeutic activities that will be supportive moving forward.
