OUR CHILD STUDY TEAM SERVICES

The IDS School Child Study Team Package matches a team of skilled and experienced IDS clinicians with a school team and family of the student in order to develop an educational intervention plan specific to deficits related to reading, writing, attention, speech/language, social/emotional, occupational therapy, physical therapy, gifted & talented, and/or working memory needs.

With this package, school teams and families receive detailed information about a student’s needs, and specific action-items in order to move forward with effective interventions, strategies and resources.

The IDS Child Study Team includes:

- A 1-hour intake with the Clinical Lead and the school to gather information about the child, and review all existing information.

- We then gather our team accordingly, to include up to 3 additional clinicians, depending on the needs of the student. We hold internal meetings and record- and video-reviews to determine the most appropriate and helpful strategies and ideas for the team.

- A 1-hour meeting with IDS clinicians and the school and family (if applicable) to ask clarifying questions, and to discuss IDS clinical recommendations, ideas for next steps, and resources.

Following the meeting, the team members:

- send a summary of the meeting along with relevant, actionable information and resources,

- remain available for email questions for one month.
