(Special Education Network in Asia)

SENIA was established in China in 2002 with the goal of providing a network for special education professionals working in China to share resources and supports with each other. Since then, SENIA has grown to an association of educators, professionals, and parents reaching regions throughout Asia and beyond.

With SENIA's reach growing to regions of the world outside of Asia, the organization is transforming to reflect its global reach. During the annual conference this past February in Honk Kong, SENIA's new name was revealed - Special Education Network & Inclusion Association. SENIA looks forward to spreading its mission: To advocate for and provide resources/supports for differently-abled individuals to areas outside of Asia, with new chapters in Europe, United Arab Emirates, India and Africa!

We at IDS share in SENIA's vision : to live in an inclusive world where every individual is supported, resources are accessible, potential is maximized, and action is inspired.
