Expert Coaching for International School Counseling Teams

SUPPORT FOR SCHOOL COUNSELING TEAM

At International Diagnostic Solutions, we bring licensed, credentialed specialists to schools online.  We match schools with the perfect experts to support their staff members.

We understand that the robust Counseling Team at ISD has experienced challenging team dynamics, and that members of the community are ready to work together to heal, learn to communicate in a more effective way, and create ongoing systems that will support the team, and in turn, students in the ISD community.

 IDS Coaching Team Members

IDS draws on the knowledge of our experienced clinicians, many of whom have served as school counselors, social workers, educators and school leaders in International Schools. Our clinicians specialize in creating and operationalizing systems for our clients to support a tremendously diverse group of learners.

Based on our introductory call with a member of the ISD counseling team, we propose that the best course of action will be for the team to work with 2 IDS clinicians. Working in tandem, the IDS clinicians will explore the core needs and values of each team member as an individual stakeholder and professional, while simultaneously engaging the team as a whole in identifying and adopting a unifying set of core values and communication strategies. Through this process, the IDS clinicians will cultivate an environment in which the ISD team is reintroduced to one another from a culture and values perspective, fostering a celebration of the team’s diversity and drawing on the individual strengths of each member to meet the common group goals of student emotional resilience, promoting a culture of inclusion and acceptance, crisis intervention, trauma support, and safety.

  • The first clinician will be focused on facilitating the clinical healing, communication, and interpersonal dynamics of the team.

  • The second clinician will work on the broader systems change, communication, and overall sustainability of the team, so that the counselors can learn to work together in an effective way now, and for the future.

Both IDS Clinicians will be with the ISD team throughout the tenure of the work together, in a dynamic, organic, and responsive manner.

PRICING (IN US DOLLARS)

We suggest a series of meetings that combine individual ISD team member meetings with the IDS team, as well as whole-group meetings with the IDS team. This schedule may be adapted once the IDS and ISD teams begin work together.

  1. To begin the Coaching services, the IDS team will meet with the full ISD team for one hour in order for both to learn more about needs and expertise, meet each other, as well as to plan next steps for the Team. This will be a 1-hour meeting for all members.

  2. The IDS team will then engage in individual 30-minute meetings with each of the 6 counseling team members.

  3. Then, the work will continue for at least 5 meetings of 45 minutes each with all ISD team members.*

*If, during the course of the proposed work, the IDS team finds additional individual, small group, or whole-group meetings necessary, the team will discuss this with the ISD team directly, and further plans can be made as deemed necessary by both parties.

WHAT DO FOLKS SAY ABOUT OUR WORK?

One of the things I’ve found so helpful with IDS is that I can go online with a team and say, “you know, I’m concerned about this student, these are the things that I’m seeing...what would you recommend as my next step?” That’s been such a relief for me. I don’t need to know all of the answers, I can use IDS as our team of supportive professionals.
